Okay, so here's one I've been railing on for quite a while now. I guess this only applies for women, but if any men happen to stumble across this, I'm sure they can imagine.
I see it all the time, in the women's bathroom; women take off their rings to wash their hands. Ladies, let's think about this a minute. You just went to the bathroom, right? And you wouldn't even consider (I hope, at least) not washing your hands before walking out. And that ring, well, it went into the bathroom with you, didn't it? In fact, it went everywhere your hand went. And if you feel the need to wash your hands, you should feel the need to wash the ring, too. It's just soap and water...I think the ring will survive.
You know, why stop at the bathroom? Ladies, I say we keep our rings on every time we wash our hands! Or else just stop washing them altogether...it's all the same, really.
